About These Rules

Dragons of the East is not a complete game but, rather, a set of "house rules" or a "system hack" designed to be used with a certain role playing game published during the mid-1970s, a game most commonly associated with a "white box" (for legal reasons, I can't get much more specific than that at this time). The Dragons of the East rules are designed to turn that game into an Asian-influenced fantasy epic by way of a few minor rule alterations. In order to play Dragons of the East, you will need a copy of the rules on this site, the aforementioned "white box" rules, and a copy of the wargame referenced therein.

Credit Where It's Due

The input of several posters at both EN World and Circvs Maximvs helped to shape Dragons of the East. Most notably, the input and encouragement of diaglo, grodog, Irda Ranger, Joshua Randallus, and Mythmere are helping to keep me focused and on task while compiling this website (because, let's face it — I start a lot of stuff that never gets finished). Character artwork is by Kiss Márton Gyula and used with permission.
