Introduction
Chronicles of the Perilous Lands is an OSRIC campaign that takes place in the Perilous Lands setting originally released for the Powers & Perils game system by Avalon Hill, prior to their acquistion by TSR, Inc. The Perilous Lands is a detailed Swords & Sorcery fantasy setting heavily influenced by pulp ficiton authors and European folklore. It's a bit of a departure from the standard D&D setting in that magic and non-human races are rare by comparison. To this end, some house rules are necessary to explore the setting in the same spirit that it was written. These house rules can be found under the sections of this site entitled Characters and Other Rules, respectively. If you are a player, please read them prior to creating a character.
